A number of Maui roads will have lane closures this week because of construction work, the state Department of Transportation announced.
Affected roads include:
* Hana Highway, a single-lane closure in the westbound direction between Milepost 10.4 (in the vicinity of the Garden of Eden) and Milepost 16 (in the vicinity of Keanae Peninsula Road), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road maintenance.
* Honoapiilani Highway, the Kihei-bound lane on the highway will shift to the mauka side of the road between Front and Kai Hele Ku streets fronting Launiupoko State Park until repairs are completed to ocean erosion damage that has undermined the road's foundation. Speed limits will be reduced in the work zone, and motorists should expect traffic delays in the area.
* Kula Highway, alternating lane closures in both directions of the highway from Haleakala Highway to Naalae Road, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for pavement resurfacing.
* Maalaea Harbor, closure of Maalaea Boat Harbor Road from the south Honoapiilani Highway entrance to Hauoli Road through the end of November for construction of waterlines, sewer lines and a water treatment facility.
