Lecture at senior center Wednesday

A lecture on the changing nature of life at age 50-plus and retirement will be presented at Kaunoa Senior Center from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Lecturer Dan Veto of San Francisco is considered a vanguard of Age Wave research on population aging and its business, social, health care, financial, workforce and cultural implications. The class fee is $3 for those age 55 and older and $5 for those 54 and younger.

State, county officials to attend forum

State lawmakers, County Council members and Mayor Alan Arakawa are among those expected to attend the 17th annual Maui Disability Alliance Legislative Forum from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Maui Waena Intermediate School Cafeteria.

Maui TEA Party meeting on Thursday

The Maui TEA Party will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Kalama Heights Garden Room.
