The Baldwin High School bowling teams remained unbeaten on Saturday with 3-0 wins over St. Anthony at the Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku, and Lahainaluna beat King Kekaulike twice - the Lunas won the boys competition 3-0, picking up their first victories of the season, and the girls squad won 2-1.
Tyler Yamasaki had a 181 for the Baldwin boys (12-0), the high score of the day, Jaylen Kama-Cabanting added a 171 and Travis Andrade had a 155. Christian Altura-Taal had a 170 for the Trojans (5-4), who would have taken over first place with a sweep. Chaz Fernandez had a 157 and Noa Castleton a 141.
In the girls match, the Bears (12-0) got a 170 from Brooke Higa, a 152 from Kristen Espania-Kaeo and a 149 from Chelsea Kadokawa. Sloan Becraft had a 138 for the Trojans (3-6), Estelle Rossman a 131 and Selina Williams a 120.
Tyler Ihu had a 138 for the Lahainaluna boys (3-6), Calen Matsuda added a 132 and Jake Ryan had a 118. King Kekaulike (0-9) had the top score of the match, a 156 by Jeremy Chang.
Terra Miller (122), Kailiann Tuipulotu (118) and Marla Ito (115) had the top girls scores for the Lunas (5-4). The best score of the match Marissa Godinez's 144 for Na Alii (2-7).
Next week's matches pit Lahainaluna against Maui High and St. Anthony against King Kekaulike.
