Emily Hartong had 15 kills and four blocks and Ashley Kastl added 10 kills to lead the University of Hawaii women's volleyball team to a three-set victory over Idaho in the Verizon Volleyball Challenge on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The ninth-ranked Rainbow Wahine won 25-11, 25-14, 25-16. They hit a blistering .489 for the match, led by Hartong's .538. The Vandals hit just .072.
Molokai High School graduate Kalei Adolpho had four kills and two blocks for UH. Jane Croson had seven kills, eight digs and two aces.
Allison Walker led Idaho (2-7) with 10 kills - she also committed nine errors.
Hawaii faces No. 3 UCLA today for the tournament title. The Bruins defeated San Diego State 25-11, 25-20, 25-18 on Saturday.
