FBI offered advice on its snooping tactics

September 10, 2012
The Maui News

According to one of The Associated Press articles on Page A2 (Today's People, Sept. 1), the FBI used an informant to tell them that Ray Bradbury's works were "definitely slanted" against capitalism. Heavens to Betsy!

Pssst, FBI, I have some information for you, and since the agency is apparently incapable of reading for themselves, I'll also leave a voice mail:

* Capitalism and communism are economic systems.

* There is nothing in the United States Constitution mentioning either of these.

* Most of the FBI's snooping on law-abiding citizens of the United States was unconstitutional.

And finally, I do know some witches you can spy on, who I think would be much more fun than communists to infiltrate. In my experience, the witches I've hung out with can be interesting, with all that spell-casting and brewing stuff, whereas the communists I have known tend to be more bookish and talk endlessly about theoretical matters.

FBI, if you're going to violate citizens rights, you might as well have fun with it.
