LE MORNE, Mauritius - Patri McLaughlin of Haiku has reached the championship heat of the One Eye Kite Surf Pro, the second stop on the Pro World Championship Tour.
McLaughlin advanced through six rounds, and will face Italy's Airton Cozzolino when competition resumes. Tuesday was a lay day as organizers waited for better conditions. The holding period ends Sunday.
The tour's next stop is scheduled for Oct. 19-28 in Ireland before finishing Nov. 29-Dec. 8 at Hookipa.
