President is judged by his actions, not his race

A Sept. 3 letter writer misrepresented everything about my Aug. 28 letter. He basically called the Tea Party racist. This will not stand. We are not racist. We do disagree passionately with the policies of the socialist in the White House, but political dissent is not racism.

So typical of many Barack Obama supporters, if you oppose his left-wing agenda, you are a racist.

Short history lesson: Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. Google it.

The Tea Party will not ignore evil (Obama's socialism) when we see it. We are more in line with Dr. King's message. His hope that "his children could live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Is that radical?

Lesson 2: 1964 Civil Rights Act. Democratic senators filibustered (blocked) a vote for 57 days. On the final Senate vote for passage, 21 Democratic senators voted against, along with six Republicans.

Lesson 3: 1965 Voting Rights Act. On the final Senate vote for passage, 16 Democratic senators voted against, along with two Republicans.

In Obama's first two years, Republicans were helpless to do anything to slow down Obama's drag race to socialism. Obama had both houses of Congress. Obama was in total control and made things worse.

The Tea Party admires Dr. King and the Constitution. We judge Obama by his actions, not the color of his skin.
