Due to popular demand, the Makena Beach & Golf Resort will expand on its Lobster Fest menu offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at its Molokini Bar & Grill.
Now, in addition to its three-course dinner of surf and turf of Kona lobster tail and petit filet mignon, Caesar salad and dessert for $39.95 per person, the menu also features lobster-inspired appetizers and entrees.
New appetizers include a creamy lobster bisque for $9, lobster fritters for $12, and the popular Molokai-potato fried-lobster salad for $16. A favorite among seafood lovers, the salad is prepared with fresh hydroponic greens as well as blueberries, edamame, avocado, Maui onion, baby tomatoes and baby mache drizzled with Big Island vanilla-citrus vinaigrette, then topped with deep-fried half lobster tail wrapped up with a Molokai sweet-potato curl.

New entrees on this twice-weekly crustacean menu include a savory lobster mac and cheese for $24, and a one-pound live Maine lobster steamed or grilled with your choice of starch and vegetables on a bed of wok-fried vegetables for $48 per person.
"Those craving our regular menu items can partake on the lobster theme by adding a four ounce lobster tail to any regular menu item for only $15 more," says Leo Mallari, the director of food and beverage for the resort.
"We thank kamaaina and Maui visitors alike for supporting our Lobster Fest at Makena, and hope that the new offerings will delight as well as provide value."
