University of Oregon sophomore Cassy Isagawa, a Baldwin High School graduate, earned her first college title on Monday, winning the Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan.
Isagawa closed with a second consecutive 3-under-par 69 at Tanagura Country Club for a 7-under total of 209 in the three-round event, which began last week.
Rieko Sakashita of Doshisha University and Seira Oki of Tohoku Fukushi tied for second at 214. Sakashita carded a final-round 72, and Oki closed with a 70.
Isagawa, whose best previous finish with a tie for second at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational last fall, helped the Ducks place third in the team competition with a 24-over 888 after a final-round 293. Tohoku Fukushi (288) won with a total of 867, 19 shots better than Doshisha (886).
