Applications are currently being accepted for the Rotary Group Study Exchange program.
The GSE Program is a cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young professional men and women between the ages of 25 and 40. Team members spend about a month abroad studying the host countries' institutions and ways of life. They observe their own vocations within the host country and develop personal and professional relationships.
Teams are made up of four non-Rotarian members and one Rotarian team leader. During the exchange, teams will visit businesses, meet local government officials, tour historical and cultural sites while staying with Rotarian host families. The team will visit Rotary clubs and make presentations sharing their background, home country culture and history.
Contributions to The Rotary Foundation cover the transportation costs while sponsoring districts and Rotary Clubs provide home hosting during the exchange.
The team will visit Rotary District 2230, which includes Poland, Belarus and Ukraine, from April 27 to May 28.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 13. Interviews will be held Oct. 27.
