Herbert Santos, 81, of Haliimaile, passed away on September 14, 2012 at his home. He was born in Makawao on April 6, 1931.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Makawao, Mass will begin at 11 a.m., burial at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery at 1 p.m.
Ballard Family Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Herbert retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He is survived by his wife, Mei Mailou-Santos; sons, Patrick (Tasey) Miyahira, Herbert "Butchie" (Violet) Santos, Brian Santos, Craig Santos, and Eric Santos; step-son, Elijah "Buddy" E. Mailou III; daughters, Darlene (Jeffery) Ferreira, and Jessica Santos; sisters, Marie Tavares, Dorothy Pestana, and Eva Vares; Sister-in-Law: Harriett Santos; 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Herbert was predeceased by his parents, Jordain and Emily Santos; brothers, Abel and Joseph Santos; and sister, Myrna Santos.
