Aidan is a member of the Boys and Girls Club, which had a large contingent of keiki helping Saturday. Aidan said it was interesting to help create a work of art. "I just want to be able to have something that lasts," he said.
Second photo: Kalama Intermediate School 7th-grader Javen Miguel-Dicenzo, 12, leaves his handprint after working on the mural. Using paint donated by Ace Hardware in Pukalani, as well as donated items from other businesses, the volunteers covered up graffiti and created a Maui scene.
