In order to get food stamps in the U.S., households may have no more than $2,000 in the bank or in cash. Some 46.4 million people are on food stamps in America.
So one-fourth of the population in America has less then $2,000 to their name? It doesn't sound right to me and I don't believe that. I think a lot of people are just taking advantage of the system.
