When I became a Republican, all those many years ago, I believed they stood for fiscal responsibility and less government. Now all I see are nut jobs and misogynists with Rush Limbaugh as their spokesman. None of them have any idea of what the rest of America is going through.
Their job for the past four years has been to obstruct everything that was good for the people, the country or the economy. Paul Ryan screams about the debt but he voted for all the George W. Bush tax cuts, both unfunded wars and now wants President Barack Obama to be responsible for the debt Ryan himself helped to create. And he wants to slash Medicare and Social Security to pay for it.
I didn't hear one piece of information about how they would fix the economy, unemployment or any of the ills of the world at the Republican National Convention, probably because they don't have any ideas. They want us to trust them, like the employees of all the companies that Bain Capital took over.
I didn't hear one word about our troops in Afghanistan or what they would do differently in that part of the world, if they even know where it is. I did hear John McCain foaming at the mouth to get us into yet another war.
Hey, Mr. I-can't-remember-how-many-houses-I-own, if you want another war have your 1 percent buddies fund it. That should trickle down.
