Could the killing of the U.S. diplomats in Libya and the anti-Amercanism demonstrated in the Arab world have more to do with the perception of a weak foreign policy carried out by the present administration than a silly movie?
While I will admit that most of the Muslim world is deeply mired in poverty, ignorance, Islamic fundamentalism and mob mentality, the repeated apologizing by Barack Obama for America's principles and beliefs is a contributing factor to the problem that we face.
The president has an insecure, thin-skinned and self-absorbed personality with an overwhelming need to be liked and equally overwhelming dislike to be portrayed in less than a transformative figure in history. Ergo, the appeasement policies of his administration, where being liked is more important than being respected.
The world does not respect weakness, and the world does not respect Barack Obama.
