Welder lends a hand, paints rails

Welder Chris Cooper paints a handrail at the Kehalani Village Center in Wailuku on Tuesday afternoon. Cooper works for T.J. Gomes Trucking Co. The anchor tenants for the center are Longs Drugs, which will open early next month, Foodland, McDonald’s and Aloha Petroleum, according to the Sofos Realty website.
