First photo: The Maui Fair and parade brought young and old residents and foreign visitors together Thursday. Gov. Neil Abercrombie posed for a photo with members of Maui sister city Fukuyama, Japan. The 46-member contingent from Hiroshima Prefecture marched in the parade, while the governor rode in a convertible. The sister city visitors were on the island as part of a Maui County pilot program called the Maui County Lifelong Learning Seminar.
Second photo: Also in the parade was the Maui Shrine Club, with its miniature cars. President Loren Holmberg spread the aloha as he drove down Kanaloa Avenue in his vehicle.
Third photo: Youngster Kamau Tomita, 4, a Wailuku Hongwanji preschooler, had a fun ride on the Merry-Go-Round in the Joy Zone.
