I lost my wallet after I stopped at an ATM for cash. When I discovered it gone, I retraced my bicycle route to no avail.
Dejected but still hopeful, I went home to find a message from Ricky that he had found my wallet and wanted to return it. I called him and he insisted that he would come by with it. He soon knocked at my door with his son alongside. He refused a reward and left with my thanks.
I want to acknowledge someone who did the right thing and went out of his way to help me. He was also setting a wonderful example to his young son.
I am less cynical in this election year now that I have encountered an honest man.
