I think the real issue we need to focus on is who can get the job done. George Fontaine in the past two years has passed zero laws and has secured zero dollars in funding for the Kihei high school or anything else. With all that he hasn't done, we know where all our money is going toward - his TV show.
He claims to be working closely with Sen. Roz Baker on the high school, but after listening to Roz's speech at the Kaniela Ing Friendraiser, we all know that's a lie.
I say it's time to fire the guy who hasn't been doing his job and hire someone who is ready to - Kaniela Ing. Kaniela has experience helping to pass law on Oahu, sitting on neighborhood boards, and working at the Capitol in D.C. Ing has also acquired a relevant education, unlike Fontaine.
Fontaine says he's a community man and that's where he should be. Ing's place is at the Capitol working for South Maui through public policy. Let's put the right people in the right places this time around.
