We love the Lahaina Center for all its culture and historical area of Lahaina town. An outlet mall like Waikele (The Maui News, Sept. 27) would be great besides being a great income magnet and finally opening up this area again.
A few questions:
Is the the Department of Motor Vehicle & Licensing staying in its current location? This is such a great location, especially for those who are handicapped and it has the small town feel to it with great service, not to mention easy parking for everyone.
Will the movie theater stay?
A suggestion on tenants: maybe a P.F. Chang's or an Olive Garden restaurant included in the mix of stores. These are both great chain restaurants and we need to go outside the box with our restaurants here in West Maui. Just a thought.
