I disagree that the pro-choice movement is about safe abortions for women (Letters, Sept. 25).
First of all, it is called the pro-choice movement in order to desensitize people to the fact that abortion is the murder of children. The life of an innocent baby is premeditatedly, systematically killed in a most horrific way, which he/she feels as it happens. The remains are then tossed into a trash bag (sometimes still alive) and dumped as if the baby is no more than garbage. Was this child not a citizen entitled to our first freedom, the inalienable right to life? Abortion is the American Holocaust. We are killing our culture.
Science can now show an indisputable link between breast cancer and abortion. Women who have had abortions consistently show increases in mental health problems. The suicide rate, depression, alcohol and drug abuse are substantially higher for women who have had abortions. This is the reality that the multimillion-dollar baby-killing industry does not want to talk about.
Laws reflect a country's values. Is baby killing a value we want to embrace?
What you do behind closed doors is none of my business, but when you want to change laws that destroy the traditional family, which studies have shown to be the best for a healthy society, then we need to step in. Otherwise we condone behavior that we know intrinsically to be harmful and our society will begin to crumble.
