Lunas to celebrate homecoming week

Lahainaluna High School will celebrate its annual homecoming week beginning Tuesday and ending with the homecoming game against Baldwin High School on Saturday.

Friendly class competition will includes lip synch, hunger games, dance fever and the Alma Mater song contest. There will also be banner and decoration contests.

Reigning over the traditional programs will be seniors Queen Leslie-Ann Mina and King Michael Naganuma. Leslie-Ann is the daughter of Wilson and Sylvia Mina of Lahaina. Michael is the son of Scott Naganuma and Johanna Richards of Lahaina and Jane Kim of Oahu.

Joining them on the court as first runners up will be Mr. and Ms. Congeniality Jolimar Espiritu and Jade Chihara, both seniors. Class attendants are seniors Andrew Espiritu and Marella Galace; juniors Justin Bishop Tinao and Maile Amine; sophomores Nicholas Kamaka Agdeppa and Kahakumele Hamakua; and freshmen Kainoa Reponte and Kylie Salvador.

Homecoming chairperson is Marella Galace, who is assisted by the associated student body officers.
