This week the Maui Police Department and Maui Crime Stoppers ask for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the theft of items from Walmart in Kahului.
On Sept. 20, a man depicted in surveillance photos is suspecting of entering Walmart and taking a car battery charger, a wireless video surveillance system and a headset, then leaving the store without paying for them. He is described as in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 to 200 pounds, with short black hair.
Anyone with information concerning the identity of the man shown in the surveillance photos is asked to call Maui Crime Stoppers at 242-6966. Neighbor Island residents can call toll free at (888) 242-6966. Callers remain anonymous and are given a code number.
Maui Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of people responsible for felony crimes; the recovery of stolen property or seizure of illegal drugs in felony cases; or the capture of felony fugitives.
Consider all wanted people as dangerous. Do not approach, follow or take other action that could put one in danger.
