The National Weather Service has issued a high-surf warning for the north- and west-facing shores of Molokai and the north-facing shores of Maui.
The warning is expected to remain in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Forecasters predict surf will reach heights of 20 to 25 feet along north shores, and 15 to 20 feet along west shores, with waves peaking Tuesday afternoon and night. Wave heights are estimates of the face or front of waves.
