The St. Anthony High School girls volleyball team had 23 aces, including six from Keani Pacheco, in a 25-5, 25-7, 25-11 victory over Maui Prep on Wednesday in a Maui Interscholastic League Division II?girls volleyball match at Wailuku Gym.
St. Anthony went to 6-1, tied for first place with Hana. Maui Prep remained winless at 0-9.
"We worked on serving this past week," said St. Anthony coach Al Paschoal. "The girls put emphasis on trying to be mechanically sound. Serving is a streaky aspect, but means so much."
The Trojans' Alicia Ballesteros had 11 kills, nine digs and three aces, Pacheco added nine kills and 12 digs, and Nicole Neilson had three aces and five digs.
