Bryant "Lani" Whitby, 74, passed away on September 28, 2012 at his home, under the care of Hospice Maui.
A celebration of his life will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Saturday, October 13, 2012, with visitation at 9:00am, and a prayer service at 10:30am. Family requests no flower sprays, please.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Whitby was born February 9, 1938 in Paia. He was a Truck Driver/Terminal Operator for Chevron USA.
He is survived by his loving and caregiving life partner Vanessa Valeros; daughter Bridget Kehaulani (Carl) Alexander; son Bryant K. Whitby Jr.; sister D. Napualani Duenas-Nakamura; brother Allan M. Duenas, grandson's Codey, Cal, Chase Alexander; hanai nephew Daniel Vasquez Jr.; Bryant and Bridget's mother, Joyce Whitby.
Lani enjoyed the outdoors, diving, and farming.
