Lahainaluna High School football players sing their school alma mater before a recent Maui Interscholastic League game against King Kekaulike at King Kekaulike Stadium. The Lunas beat Na Alii 42-0. The alma mater, one of the few school songs all in Hawaiian language, was written in 1898 by student Albert Kaleikini. The music was arranged by Samuel Mookini. The Lunas are off to great start to their season with a 6-0 MIL record and only three league points surrendered by their defense. At 7 p.m. Saturday at War Memorial Stadium, Lahainaluna is scheduled to play league powerhouse Baldwin High School.
