I would like to say mahalo to Doreen "Pua" Gomes for taking time to visit Lanai as part of her campaign for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs trustee seat for Maui County.
She is not a politician, which is a plus, and her positions are from her heart. She cares deeply for children and has stated that education for Hawaiian children will be an important priority to her. Her work for the Maui community has been tireless and without self-promotion. Definitely a people's candidate.
Let's do something different and elect someone who will work hard and be an advocate for our children.
