I would like to point out that on the Akaku candidates forum for the Maui County Council on Oct. 10 with Michael Victorino, I provided information that was not correct.
Mr. Victorino stated that the County of Maui had met its funding obligations for the Employees Retirement System. I refuted that statement. Mr. Victorino was correct.
I have worked hard to make sure I research facts before making statements, and my creditability is very important to me. I made a mistake and was not correct in refuting Mr. Victorino's statement.
