An Oct. 9 letter writer was concerned about the new traffic light at Hokiokio and the highway in Lahaina.
The traffic light has nothing to do with any development; it is there because Hokiokio will be the entrance and exit of the second phase of the Lahaina bypass, opening up in early 2013. It is there for obvious safety reasons and to allow easy access and exit from the bypass.
