Dent, Gullikson, Sell part of Wailea clinics
Former U.S. Davis Cup captain and Olympic coach Tom Gullikson and former USTA national coach Mike Sell will conduct a junior clinic at Wailea Tennis Club on Nov. 14, and Taylor Dent, winner of four ATP singles titles, will offer instruction at an adult clinic the same day.
Both clinics are scheduled for 4-6 p.m. The fee for the junior clinic is $50, and the fee for the adult clinic is $100.
Also, an exhibition match running in conjunction with the Wailea Fantasy Camp - which features Gullikson, Sell, Dent, three-time major champion Lindsey Davenport, former U.S. Open winner Tracy Austin and Melanie Oudin, who won a mixed doubles title at last year's U.S. Open - is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 17. Tickets are $10.
Additionally, a USTA Pro Circuit men's challenger event, the Maui Challenger, is scheduled for Jan. 20-27 at Wailea.

Instruction available from wrestling medalist
Coleman Scott, a bronze medalist in wrestling at the London Olympics, will offer free clinics at Baldwin High School in Wailuku and Lahainaluna High School in Lahaina on Thursday.
The first clinic is scheduled for 2:30-4 p.m. at the Baldwin wrestling room, the second for 5-6:30 p.m. at the Lahainaluna wrestling room. Both clinics are open to all ages, and participants should wear a T-shirt, shorts and wrestling shoes.
Scott, who was a four-time All-American while at Oklahoma State, earned bronze at 132 pounds in London.

Watanabe bowls perfect game
Chad Watanabe of Wailuku recorded a 300 game Wednesday at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku.
Watanabe posted the perfect game in a Valley Isle Bowling League match.

Shimabukuro records sixth lifetime ace
Byron Shimabukuro of Pu-kalani recorded his sixth lifetime hole-in-one on Tuesday at The Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului.
Shimabukuro aced the 17th hole, using a 7-iron for the 142-yard shot, which was witnessed by Tony Madriaga and Paul Pagay.
Trotto to be part of marathon ceremony Dr. Mary Trotto of Kihei will represent Hawaii as a "Marathon Morning Across America Ambassador" at the New York City Marathon's opening ceremony on Nov. 2, two days before the race.
Trotto owns multiple USA Track and Field masters gold medals, and in July won the USATF 65 division decathlon title in Seattle.
