Biden tells us to trust him, but why would we?

What I got from the vice-presidential debate, and I think most people are probably going to miss, is this:

Vice President Joe Biden can give us all the Bill Clinton finger-wag while looking us in the eye and tell us all how certain he is that he would know when Iran's nuclear program reaches critical mass. Trust him, he says, they would know. Yet, he could not explain the failure to foresee that on the anniversary of 9/11, in one of the most dangerous places on planet Earth today - not tomorrow - Benghazi, Libya, why our ambassador and three security staffers were executed. They are looking into it, conducting investigations and waiting for final reports.

Yet Biden will give us all the Clinton finger-wag while telling us that they will know when Iran is armed with nuclear weapons. Oh, please, reach through the TV, slap me and call me stupid.

Is it even possible that the polls are right and that 44 percent (or almost a dead heat) of our voting populace in America are mindless drones incapable of asking these questions and discerning the resulting facts for themselves? If so, we have truly lost this republic of ours.

My grandmother used to tell me, "Never argue with an idiot because passers-by will think that you are both idiots." My grandfather used to say, "Some people you just can't reach." The Bible says not to throw your pearls to the swine.
