The restaurant, designed by Rockwell Group, will have a 57-seat dining area, 56-seat outdoor terrace and 23-seat terrace bar, a news release said.
In addition to starring on television, Morimoto has opened restaurants in Philadelphia, at the Taj Mahal in Mumbai, in Tokyo and New York.
Born in Hiroshima, Iron Chef Morimoto trained in a sushi restaurant before moving to the United States in 1985 at the age of 30, according to the Food Network website. After working in several restaurants, he joined the highly acclaimed Nobu restaurant in New York City. As he polished his craft in the Big Apple, he caught the eye of "Iron Chef" producers.
