I am frequently asked by those who know me why I would endorse Alan Fukuyama and not Don Guzman when I have Filipino children.
Well, for one, ethnicity has nothing to do with elections. The other thing is that I was on set with both of them during the primaries. Alan and I, for the most part, agreed on issues and gave solutions to them. Guzman, on the other hand, gave typical political talk and sounded great but gave no solutions or even any stances on anything.
Recently, I accompanied Alan to what was supposed to be a debate. However, Guzman did not show due to illness. That makes me scratch my head there because you would have to nail me to a hospital bed to get me to miss something like that.
Alan asked a question to his opponent that pretty much sums up why I went where I did. He asked: Since Guzman is endorsed by both the Sierra Club and labor unions, who often butt heads, how would he vote when they came into conflict?
The point to that is he is too busy trying to please everybody rather than standing for something. That is why I support Alan.
