Rep. George Fontaine is highly qualified to represent South Maui in the state House.
He has served the community in documented projects over the three decades in which he worked in Maui County. Anyone can look up his record of service with Rotary International humanitarian projects; with Hale Kau Kau's feeding the hungry program; as a Hale O Maui board member to find solutions for affordable housing; and in founding the Kihei citizens patrol. He is compassionate, competent and dedicated to public service.
Fontaine has an impeccable attendance record in the state House. He worked with Sen. Roz Baker to get the Kihei high school process moving forward. Working with bipartisan cooperation, as all legislators do, to get things done is not a negative but rather a powerful positive for any lawmaker.
As a retired police captain in the Maui Police Department, he is known for his competency and dedicated service, earning the endorsement of SHOPO, the police union.
Keep this very good man in office.
