Roads in Waiehu and Kahului are or will be closed while county Department of Water Supply crews work on waterline repairs, the department announced.
The closures affect:
-- Makaala Drive in Waiehu from its intersection with Hilinai Street (north side, closer to Waiehu Beach Road) to its intersection with Kilihau Street. The road is expected to reopen by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
-- Wakea Avenue in Kahului from its Hoohana Street to its Hukilike Street intersections. The stretch of Wakea is planned to be closed from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Motorists should follow signs and use detours when in the affected areas.
