Lahainaluna High School teacher Nancy Young was recently selected as a 2012 ING Unsung Hero Award recipient, joining 99 other educators around the country in receiving the $2,000 award.
Young spearheads an iPad art history program that encourages students to use Apple's iPad technology to create their own art history Web pages.
ING Financial Adviser Jared Nakamoto presented the award during a staff meeting at the school Oct. 17. Young said she plans to use her award money to purchase more iPads for her students.
