Police were looking for a Maui Community Correctional Center inmate who escaped from a work line at Lahaina Civic Center on Friday morning.
Henry Rosenthal, 32, is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a deformed right ear and Hawaiian triangle tattoos on the right side of his face.
Rosenthal was wearing an orange MCCC T-shirt, jeans and boots when he left the work assignment.
According to court records, he was sentenced in August 2004 to a 10-year prison term for first-degree burglary. Rosenthal also has convictions for theft, forgery, assault, driving without a license, criminal property damage and parole and probation violations.
Police said anyone who sees Rosenthal should not approach him but call 911.
