Mel Khlok scored 17 points for the Dons, who also were playing their first game.
Destiny King, Diane Moore and Monica DeAngelis each scored 10 points for UH, which shot 15-for-48 from the field (31.3 percent). Kamilah Martin had eight points, 15 rebounds and three steals.
