Duke's Beach House recently recognized Princess Nahi'enaena Elementary School teachers Karyn Murphy and Kauna'oa Chris Garcia as the Educators of the Month for August and September, respectively.
Murphy and Garcia were each awarded a $100 gift certificate to Duke's Beach House. They were selected based on their outstanding commitment to the betterment of the community through education, according to an announcement.
"We're thrilled to recognize both of these teachers for their willingness to go above and beyond when it comes to serving Princess Nahi'enaena Elementary and their students," said Duke's General Manager Shaughn Helliar. "Educators play such a huge role in the sound development of Maui's youth - we're proud we can do something to celebrate all their hard work."
