Natalie "Tasha" Kama has joined Dust Consulting Services, a transportation planning firm, as an associate specializing in Hawaiian culture and cultural sensitivity.
She has spent 25 years as pastor of The Christian Ministry Church in Wailuku.
Kama will serve on project teams where sensitivity to the Native Hawaiian culture and its protocols is important. She also will assist with public involvement activities, the company said.

Tyler P. McNish, a Seabury Hall graduate, has joined the Honolulu firm of Yamamoto & Settle as an associate attorney.
He will advise energy developers and clients on all aspects of project development and regulatory compliance, the company said.
McNish previously served as law clerk for Judge Richard R. Clifton of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and as an attorney with Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing.
He earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley's School of Law.

Dr. Karl E. Waite, an ophthalmologist and vitreo-retinal surgeon with the Retina Institute of Hawaii, has joined the Hawaii Cataract and Laser Institute in Kahului.
Waite specializes in treating such eye conditions as glaucoma, cataracts and macular edema.
He previously served as chief resident of the Nassau University Medical Center in New York.
Waite is a graduate of the University of South Florida. He obtained his doctorate from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and began his surgical career at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami.
