LAHAINA LIBRARY GRAND RE-OPENING
The Lahaina Library was closed from Aug. 14 for renovations and re-opened on Nov. 13. The Rotary Club of Lahaina, in cooperation with the Hawaii State Public Library System and Maui Friends of the Library, completed this $280,000 project at no cost to the state. In addition, 60 volunteers packed 35,000 books that were in storage provided by 5A Rent-A-Space at no charge. A celebration and blessing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. and the public is invited.
