In support of World AIDS Day, which is celebrated every year Dec. 1, Maui AIDS Foundation will host two events: Dine Out For AIDS and World AIDS Day.
Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop, Casanova Italian Restaurant and Deli, and Oceans Beach Bar and Grill will donate 15 percent of proceeds for one night to Maui AIDS Foundation. Be sure to mention that you are dining out for Maui AIDS Foundation when you order.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Leoda's in Olowalu; from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Casanova in Makawao and from 6 to 10 p.m Nov. 28 at Oceans in Kihei.
Gannon's in Wailea will be the site of a World AIDS Day event from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1. The event will include a commemoration, Ti Leaf Circle, and performances by Merika Hunter and Jessica Rabbitt and Kanoa. This free community event is open to all ages. There will be complementary pupu and a no-host bar.
World AIDS Day brings together people from around the world to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic. The day is an opportunity raise awareness of the global impact of HIV/AIDS and to encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
