His first Big Apple restaurant propelled him to fame. These days, Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa reportedly has 25 restaurants in 21 cities around the world, including one on Oahu, Nobu Waikiki, and one in Malibu, Calif., with partner and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, who recently bought Lanai. Robert DeNiro and he will also partner in the world's first chef hotel at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
Now, Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay, in partnership with Chef "Nobu" announces the target date for the opening of Nobu Lanai for sometime in late December.

Located on the lower lobby level of the Manele Bay Hotel in the former Ihilani Restaurant, Nobu Lanai will offer sweeping views of the ocean. Drawing upon his sushi training in Tokyo, his life in South America, and other travels around the world, Nobu Lanai will showcase his own signature new-style Japanese fare combined with local ingredients.
