The University of Hawaii did not receive a seed in the NCAA tournament women's volleyball bracket announced Sunday.
The Rainbow Wahine (26-2) will face Santa Clara (20-11) in the first round Friday in Seattle. The winner of that match will play the next day against either 13th-seeded Washington or Central Arkansas for a berth in the Omaha Regional semifinals.
Hawaii, which went unbeaten in Big West play in its first season as a conference member and is ranked eighth in the nation in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, is making its 20th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament, and 31st overall.
Penn State received the No. 1 seed. Stanford is seeded second, Texas third and Nebraska fourth. The national championship is scheduled for Dec. 15 in Louisville, Ky.
