Teachers seek some signs of support

November 28, 2012
The Maui News
Kihei Elementary School teachers wave signs along Lipoa Street in front of the school Tuesday afternoon. The teachers said they joined other public school educators around the state in waving signs to gain public support and to raise awareness of the fact that they have been working without a contract for almost two years. “We feel very frustrated and disrespected,” said spokesperson Mayumi Fukuoka. “We’re angry that our governor let us down from when we supported him.”
