Valley Isle Gymnastics claim five gold medals
Valley Isle Gymnastics athletes won 16 medals, including five golds, at the USA Gymnastics state championships Nov. 17-18 at Ewa Beach, Oahu.
The gold medalists were Alana Motley (level 4 uneven bars), Megan Bouthillier (level 6 vault), Alani Kapiioho (level 6 vault), Kumari Giubardo (level 6 balance beam) and Imlitala Giubardo (level 5 floor exercise).

Silver medals went to Alana Motley (level 4 vault and floor exercise), Alani Kapiioho (level 6 beam) and Yamuna Giubardo (level 6 floor exercise), and bronzes went to Shyanne Sheldon (level 5 vault and beam), Imlitala Giubardo (level 5 beam), Nohealani Ledesma (level 6 vault), Megan Bouthillier (level 6 beam) and Alani Kapiioho (level 6 floor exercise and all-around).

Torres aces third hole at Wailea Emerald
Fred Torres of Kaanapali had a hole-in-one on Saturday at the Wailea Emerald Course.
Torres aced the third hole, using a 5-iron for the 152-yard shot, which was witnessed by Tom Voycik, Ed Robinson and Steve Potter.

Schwab aces No. 12 at Wailea Old?Blue Course
Tom Schwab of Kihei recorded a hole-in-one at the Wailea Old Blue Course on Nov. 17.
Schwab aced the 12th hole, using a 9-iron for the 130-yard shot, which was witnessed by Monroe Robertson, Bill Henry and Jim Allard.

Water-sports athletes will sign autographs
Professional water-sport athletes Levi Siver, Robbie Naish, Jason Polakow and Ian Walsh will meet fans and sign autographs from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Paia Youth and Cultural Center.
The event is taking place in conjunction with the inaugural Red Bull Jaws Paddle at Peahi, which has a holding period running from Dec. 7 to March 15.
