Quinn Williams scored a goal in each half as the Kamehameha Schools Maui girls soccer team defeated Baldwin 2-1 on Tuesday at Kanaiaupuni Stadium, sending the Bears to their first loss of the Maui Interscholastic League season and second since the start of the 2009 campaign.

"They were really hungry for this," Warriors coach Steven Mau said of his team, which improved to 3-1-0 and entered a tie for first place in the Division I standings with Baldwin and Maui High.

Each team scored once in the first half - Emilie Tarin had a goal for the Bears (3-1-0).

Williams has scored four goals this season.

"We got a great goal from the outside against the wind in the first half," Mau said. "It was 1-1 going into the half and then we had the wind."

* LAHAINALUNA BOYS 4, SEABURY HALL 1: At Olinda, Rhys Lendio scored three goals as Lahainaluna (4-0-1) widened its lead in the MIL standings.

Lendio scored in the 45th, 50th and 71st minutes, and has six goals this season. The Lunas' Rodrigo Haro scored in the fifth minute.

Seabury Hall, which was playing its MIL opener, got a goal from Duncan Harrison in the 61st.
