I am a volunteer worker with the South Maui Parks and Recreation Department in preserving and perpetuating our native species (flora and fauna) open-space wilderness legacy project.
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with inmates from Maui Community Correctional Center. These fine gentlemen were doing post and rail work at Kalepolepo Park next to the Maui Lu in Kihei. They graciously helped me haul cut kiawe limbs to be picked up by the Parks and Recreation workers. This work required muscles and muscles they do have.
