Street Bikers United of Maui County will be on the roads in Central, South and West Maui for its 2012 SBU Toy Run motorcycle parade in support of Toys for Tots on Sunday.
The run may create traffic delays along the route.
The parade is permitted and will be escorted by a marked Maui Police Department vehicle with uniformed officers at some intersections, a news release about the event said.
"Street Bikers United of Maui County sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience that may be experienced by motorists," the news release said.
The parade will depart the Walmart parking lot in Kahului at 11 a.m. via Hookele Street, run north on Mokulele Highway, west on Kuihelani Highway and onto Honoapiilani Highway through Maalaea to Front Street in Lahaina via Shaw Street and then proceed to the Lahaina Cannery Mall.
At 2 p.m., the parade will leave the mall with the VFW post in Kihei as its final destination. The parade will retrace its route back to Kihei, turning south onto North Kihei Road, south onto South Kihei Road and west onto Waipuilani Street to the VFW hall.
